Tim Scharwath has been a Member of the Board of Deutsche Post DHL Group since June 2017. He is responsible for DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, the group’s air, ocean and overland freight forwarding business.

Scharwath is a profiled logistics expert and manager. Under his leadership, DHL Global Forwarding successfully modernized its IT Infrastructure, accelerated the digitalization journey and thereby continuously improved its customer services and solutions. This has also had a sustained positive impact on financial performance, with DHL Global Forwarding, Freight contributing significantly to DPDHL Group’s record earnings of EUR 8.0bn in 2021. 

Scharwath began his career in logistics in 1992 with various positions in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK as well as in Switzerland. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Hamburg, Germany.
