Jules Kortenhorst is the CEO of C-Quest Capital. Prior to joining C-Quest Jules was a partner at Vision Ridge Partners, a sustainable real assets investor that seeks to capitalise on the global transition to sustainability. In the decade before, Jules served as the CEO of RMI (formerly Rocky Mountain Institute), a leading climate change NGO that works to transform global energy use to secure a clean, prosperous net-zero future for all.  Under his leadership RMI grew from 50 to over 600 staff.

Before RMI, Jules was the founding CEO of the European Climate Foundation, the largest philanthropic organisation dedicated to climate change in Europe. Earlier, he served as a member of the Dutch parliament for the Christian Democratic Party.

Early on in his career, Jules was the CEO for International Operations of ClientLogic Corporation, a global leader in outsourced customer relationship management. Before that he worked for almost 10 years for Royal Dutch/Shell, among others as managing director of Shell Bulgaria, and he began his career at McKinsey & Co.

Jules has served as chair of the WEF Global Future Councils for Energy and for Net Zero. He is a founding member of the global Energy Transitions Commission, is chairman of ENSTALL Solar Group, a member of the board of Circle Economy, an NGO supporting the circularity movement.  Jules holds a master’s in economics from Erasmus University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
