Erik Becker is the Regional Head, Infrastructure, South East Asia/Pacific – based in Singapore. Erik, a US and German national, has more than 20 years of international infrastructure investment experience. During his career he was based in the America, Africa, Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East. Erik has originated, closed, and supervised transactions in more than a dozen countries.

Erik’s top priority is to grow the infrastructure business in the South East Asia/Pacific region in line with IFC’s growth strategy and focus on the tremendous energy transition potential for climate business in a region that has emerged not only as one of the world’s most economically vibrant but also as one of its highest emitters of greenhouse gases.

Erik holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from INSEAD and a Master’s degree in Energy Systems and Process Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin
