Nick Robins is Professor in Practice for Sustainable Finance at the London School of Economics and Executive Director of the Just Transition Finance Lab. The Lab is a new centre of experimentation and excellence focusing on practical financial solutions to accelerate action on climate and nature through social justice. Nick is a Commissioner on Scotland’s Just Transition Commission.

Before joining the LSE in 2018, Nick was Co-Director of the UN Environment’s Inquiry into a Sustainable Finance System, the Head of HSBC’s Climate Change Centre of Excellence and Head of Sustainable and Responsible Investment funds at Henderson Global Investors. Nick has also worked at the European Commission and the Business Council for Sustainable Development. In addition, Nick is co-founder of Carbon Tracker and Planet Tracker. He has published widely, including The Corporation that Changed the World: How the East India Company Shaped the Modern Multinational.
