Masagos Zulkifli

Minister Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Republic of Singapore

Mr Masagos Zulkifli is Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, which oversees the National Environment Agency, PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, and the Singapore Food Agency. Mr Zulkifli entered politics in 2006, after being elected as Member of Parliament for the Tampines Group Representation Constituency. Prior to that, he was working in Singapore Telecommunications Limited, and held the position of CEO, SingTel Global Offices.

Mr Zulkifli was appointed as Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education in 2006, and subsequently Minister of State for Education in 2010. From 2008 to 2014, he also held other positions within the Singapore Government, in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs.

He took on his current appointment in the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources in October 2015, and was most recently appointed as Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs on 1 May 2018.
