Ms Ho Ching is the CEO of Temasek, a long term investor headquartered in Singapore.

Ho Ching started her career with the Ministry of Defence where she last held the concurrent leadership positions of Director, Defence Materiel Organisation and Deputy Director, Defence Science Organisation.

She joined the Singapore Technologies group in 1987 as its Director of Engineering and was its President and CEO (1997 to 2001). She was the founding Chairman of Singapore Technologies Engineering.

Ho Ching joined the board of Temasek Holdings as its Executive Director in May 2002 and was appointed its CEO in January 2004.

She is a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering Singapore. Her past pro-bono roles included Chairman of the Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research, and Second Deputy Chairman of the Economic Development Board.

She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree from the University of Singapore (now National University of Singapore), and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, USA.
